  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 3/4 cup cream
  • 2/3 cup honey
  • 1-2 drops lavender essential oil
  • Dash of cinnamon
  • Optional powdered sugar (for top sprinkle)

Yields 8-10

  1. Whisk together flour, sugar, cinnamon, and baking powder
  2. Using a pastry blender, work in butter
  3. Stir in cream and honey until well combined
  4. Add 1-2 drops lavender essential oil (be careful not to use more, as this can be an overpowering oil)
  5. On a floured surface, (dough will be sticky), pat into an 8-inch square; cut into 16 triangles
  6. Bake at 400°F on a cookie sheet until golden, about 15-20 min
  7. Sprinkle powered sugar if you desire
